Low Cost Jewelry ;) - this Friday and Saturday

Maria Ana Ricon Peres and Laura Rose organize and present exercises of ingenuity and constriction by 22 Lisbon’s artisans to challenge the downturn: a Spring treat of Contemporary Jewelery at 25 Euro each piece for aficionados or anyone keen on dropping by Mercado de Santa Clara, Lisbon next Friday and Saturday.

Ranging from well established Jewelers to aspiring artists, the artisans bring forward their sheer creativity and dare to surprise on a budget. This exhibit will be the first exposition at Cyan (workshop inaugurated January 2011) and aims at your heart without damaging your wallet.

So, so awesome!

To Do List

Wear a shirt that says “Life”. Hand out lemons on street corner.

Hire two private investigators. Get them to follow each other.

Major in philosophy. Ask people WHY they would like fries with that.

Go into a crowded elevator and say, “I bet you’re all wondering why I gathered you here,” with a straight face.

Make vanilla pudding. Put in mayo jar. Eat in public.

Become a teacher. Make a test where every answer is “C”. Enjoy the show.

Wait until someone is about to sneeze. Right before they do, loudly scream “PIKA PIKAAAA!!”

Think of the game. Get mad at me.

Run into a store, ask what year it is. When someone answers, yell “It worked!” and run out cheering.

Buy a horse, name it “Oscar Takes the Lead”, enter it in horse races.

Invite someone into your office, turn around in the office chair and say, “I’ve been expecting you…”

Change name to Simon. Speak in third person.

Become a doctor. Change last name to Acula.

Buy a parrot. Teach the parrot to say, “Help! I’ve been turned into a parrot.”

Follow joggers around in a car blasting “Eye of the Tiger” for encouragement.

Stacy’s mom.
thank you ;)*

Só de mim, tells a story about someone that used to have it all, and only realized this after losing. An unlikely story for a happy day, told with the beautiful city of Lisbon as a backdrop. It all started with inspiration from the video "The Emotive". The chemistry was amazing, and the idea to do something in Portuguese appeared (because everything sounds good in English, but we can not forget the power that our language has!), with time (thing that the first author unfortunately did not had), and with an excellent image quality.
Here is the link to the original, so that you can appreciate the true work of art, and hope that our might also inspire someone else to do something unique, and perhaps even in another language! (vimeo.com/33047192)"

Pagato

The caffè pagato (Paid Coffee) is a beautiful custom deeply steeped in Neapolitan history whereby a customer orders a coffee and pays for two: one for him or herself and the other for a stranger – most often less fortunate. The barista takes note of the caffè pagato and awaits John Doe’s arrival. Old Johnny simply has to ask if there are any caffè pagati going around and if so the barista whips him up a cuppa and gets to make Johnny’s day.

Found another google easter egg =)
